Grief Support

Grief Sessions

Grief educational sessions and grief support groups are offered. Educational sessions are provided as 1.5 classes and group sessions are provided bi-monthly. 

Family Counseling

Family therapy helps families heal and reconnect in a supportive therapeutic environment. Family therapy assists families with identifying, anger, hurt, and disappointment. Helps with identifying communication barriers and improves communication to strengthen the family system. Family members gain a deeper understanding of how actions affect each member of the family. Parent Coaching

It is hard to be a supportive parent when your adolescent is screaming at you. It is difficult to stay silent when your young adult is making bad choices. We are here to help.


Parent coaching promotes positive listening, communication, and problem-solving skills for parents/guardians raising children from toddlers to young adults. Learn to reach your fullest potential as a parent/guardian through the process of becoming more conscious, reflective, compassionate, proactive, and practice self-care. Learn to process emotions and regulate emotions during difficult developmental milestones. You will learn to nurture yourself, process guilt, and how to set and maintain boundaries. 


Relationship Counseling

Relationship counseling helps to explore, recognize, and resolve conflicts in a variety of relationships. Types of relationships:

  • Peer-to-peer

EMDR

What is EMDR?

EMDR therapy focuses on changing emotions, thoughts, or behaviors resulting from the distressing issue, allowing the brain to resume its natural healing process. EMDR therapy is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. For many clients, EMDR therapy can be completed in fewer sessions than other psychotherapies. EMDR therapy helps children and adults of all ages.

  •  Sleep disturbance 
  • PTSD and other trauma and stress-related issues


Typical EMDR therapy is 8 sessions lasting from 60-90 minutes. 


Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a form of play, however, it is more than simply playing. Play Therapy is a way of communicating, processing emotions, and traumatic events. It can also be used to foster and strengthen caregiver relationships with children. Play therapy has no age limit and may also benefit teens and adults. Play Therapy helps with:


  • Anger management issues
  • Family issues, like divorce or separation
  • Processing Loss
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Dementia
  • Chronic illness, palliative care, and hospice care

CBT & Mindfulness

Mindfulness

CBT & Mindfulness involves becoming more aware of the present moment and bringing focus to thoughts. It is the practice of keeping our attention focused on the present moment without judgments. It is replacing our negative thoughts with positive thoughts. CBT focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and developing coping strategies to manage life stressors. CBT & mindfulness can benefit:

Individual Counseling

  • Individual counseling will help with managing mood disorders, and anxiety disorders, healing from traumas, and helping identify harmful patterns. 


We all have a story to tell from our life experiences. Some of those experiences we have control over while some of them we do not. Do not be held back by your past actions or the actions of others. 


We cannot control the actions of other people. We can not change the behaviors of other people. We can change and control our beliefs, actions, and progress.


Children Counseling

Children/Teens/Young Adults

Many children occasionally experience fears and worries or display disruptive behaviors. Sometimes these symptoms are serious and persistent interfering with school, home, relationships, and decreasing self-esteem. There are times when behavior changes occur because of an underlying mental illness or undisclosed trauma.


Sometimes children, adolescents, and teens need help processing difficult life transitions and painful events such as:

Group Counseling
